Safety report SWA-VR

Companies where certain quantities of hazardous substances are present are subject to a reporting obligation. They must draw up a safety report to demonstrate that the risks for their own personnel and for the environment which are linked to the presence of these substances are known and managed sufficiently. This is the result of a European directive, the Seveso III directive, which has been transposed into federal law.

The SWA-VR is drawn up in accordance with the Cooperation Agreement between the Federal State and the 3 Regions. The SWA-VR is a dynamic document that must be in accordance with the company’s current situation. This is why it must be reviewed periodically, at least every 5 years.
