Safety report OVR

Companies where certain quantities of hazardous substances are present are subject to a reporting obligation. They must have a safety report drawn up by an accredited SR expert to demonstrate that the risks linked to the presence of these substances are known and managed sufficiently. This is the result of a European Directive, the Seveso III Directive, which has been transposed into Flemish legislation.

The environmental safety report (OVR) is linked to the environmental license: the application file for an environmental license of a company where there are risks of major accidents must include an approved environmental safety report. In the environmental safety report, we map out and evaluate the risks for the environment.
