Environmental audits

Compliance audit

In a compliance audit we make a complete and detailed analysis of the extent to which a company is in compliance with current environmental legislation. This is possible on two levels. In terms of the company’s administrative status: is everything that is present on the company premises included in the environmental license? At the level of specific environmental conditions (general, sectoral and special conditions): are all environmental conditions being met?

Due diligence

A potential buyer or acquirer of a company requests this business analysis to arrive at a correct valuation of the company in question. The audits are usually carried out in several domains, with the environmental aspect forming a major part of the analysis.

Supplier audit

This audit entails the screening of a company in terms of environmental licenses on behalf of a supplier or a potential supplier. In this audit we also investigate the administrative license situation as well as compliance with the environmental conditions.

Decretal environmental audit

Some companies in Flanders are obliged to carry out a decretal (laid down by law) environmental audit. The companies to which this obligation applies are stated in Vlarem II, chapter 4.
The audit includes a systematic, documented and objective evaluation of the management, organisation and equipment of the company in the field of environmental protection. The decretal environmental audit must be carried out periodically (at least every three years).
